2010 Party Invitation
The strange visage of the supernaturally ghastly gala that lit up that old Dutch Colonial seems to have all but faded away, remembered only by those brave few who ventured into the midnight spree of frights and delights.
In the past few weeks, however, a renewed sense of foreboding has once again settled over the residents of this peaceful neighborhood. Mysterious murmurs are seeping out from dark corners that the slumbering spirits have once again been reawakened, called from their eternal rest to wreak their mischief and mayhem on an unsuspecting community.
My friends, these hair-raising rumors indeed portend what you may already be apprehensively anticipating – the old Victorian home is once again transformed into that moldering sanctum for the disembodied known as...the Haunted Mansion! BWAHAHAHA!! [cue ORGAN MUSIC! THUNDER CLAP! And…another THUNDER CLAP!!]
WITNESS again the awesome spectacle that is the legendary Haunted Mansion! ["Wow, look at all the eerie and not-entirely-chintzy Halloween decorations..."]
ENCOUNTER a whole new dimension of terror! [the Ghost Hosts have uncovered a spooky BASEMENT! Oooooh scary, scaaaaary!]
RISK a sip from your Ghost Host's cauldron...a sinister cistern with a devilish brew so diabolically devastating that may well destroy your very sobriety! ["BURP! So whass in dis, anywray?"]
DARE to show up in a costume so outrageously sexy that it will cause the dead to rise, um, from their graves! [Whistles, Cat Calls]
SHUDDER with horror when you come face to face with the fiendish denizens of the Haunted Mansion, including the nefarious Hound of Bassetville, known devourer of wayward snacks! [WOOF! WOOF! Snarf!]
UNCOVER the terrifying truth for yourself - that there may be too many people for only...one...PUNCHBOWL!!!! [SCREAMS] (but hey, it's cool, we can always refill it...)
So make your final arrangements and dig up your death certificates - this is one swinging wake that you WON'T want to miss! As they say, ghosts and ghouls for miles around are just DYING for the good times that we throw down!
